Enterprise Institute

Setting worker-centered enterprises up for success.

The vast majority of projects in our portfolio have passed through our signature business development program where we provide training on business model generation, customer discovery, and financial projections.

Since the lab launched, we have run five of these programs inviting upwards of 30 organizations to participate and pitch their enterprise ideas to panelists of entrepreneurs, investors, technologists, and worker organizers. This technical assistance provided during and beyond the Enterprise Institute is made possible by many partners and friends of The Workers Lab who make themselves available to offer advice and support for emerging ideas. Our commitment to field bridging is embodied in our continued drive to foster relationships between people from a range of industries and skill sets in order to solve some of the most pressing issues workers are facing. In addition to hosting Enterprise Institutes, we have similarly hosted and sponsored hackathons and group design convenings to bring people together and generate ideas for tools, strategies, and enterprises in real-time that can build power for workers.
